Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY)

The historic beginning dates back to the early 1970's when a study was made to end the flaring of gas at the oil wells, and instead the gas would be collected to be used as an energy source and, more importantly, as feedstock for a broad new complex of basic industries. Three initiatives were launched namely, establishment of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RC), the master gas gathering system to be implemented by Saudi Aramco.
